Tony Grantham (NZ)

Tony started playing bowls in 1989 after a friend introduced him to the game. He plays for North Harbour in New Zealand.
Which model of Taylor bowls do you enjoy playing with and why?
Taylor SR size 4. I have had a lot of success using my Taylor SR’s. The line to the jack is very consistent on any surface. A great all round bowl. Taylor bowls feels great in the hand and the most consistent bowl I have ever used.
Are there any particular stories you would like to tell us about that relate to your bowling?
The highlight was winning NZ National Singles in Dunedin and then going on to win the World Champion of Champions in Warilla, Australia.
In the bowling world who do you most admire and why?
Rowan Brassey. His ability to draw to the jack. Rowan was the best lead in the world and that is what I set my role within the Blackjacks to be.
Do you have a favourite – film, book, football team, actor, etc? It can be more than one if you like.
Adam Sandler are great movies, very funny, of course an all Black Supporter!
